Avoid any wedding woes and visit this Century City expo for all your nuptial needs

All those tying the knot, take note! Century City’s retail mecca invites hoards of soon-to-be-married pairs to two-step down the aisles of its one-stop matrimony shop, the 2014 Canal Walk Bridal Fair, from Friday, 21 to Sunday, 23 February 2014.

Now in its 13^th year, the wedding showcase offers future brides and grooms access to all the bells, whistles and Swarovski crystals necessary to create the picture-perfect marriage ceremony. Specifically, there are more than 200 suppliers – from photographers, designers and decorators to stylists, make-up artists and caterers – on hand to consult with. And of course, it wouldn’t be a wedding expo without breathtaking displays of the all-important dress, so the 2014 fair also includes the Gowns Galore Showcase, which features over 80 fabulous frocks.   

In short, those set to recite their vows can plan everything from the major to the minute in a single weekend. Whether you’re on the hunt for a perfect honeymoon destination, looking for the right videographer to capture the special moments or searching for a reliable but unique way to arrive at your (obviously) amazing venue, you’ll likely find an expert that feels tailor-made to your tastes. There will also be interactive displays, hair and make-up idea sharing and live entertainment to keep engaged couples enthralled and inspired.

Finally, each year the Canal Walk Bridal Fair offers a fabulous competition and a host of giveaways. This time around, three pairs of lucky lovers can each win a ridiculously romantic honeymoon valued at R50 000. The getaways are sponsored by Imagine Cruising, captains of dream holidays on the ocean; GocheGanas, a luxury private nature reserve and wellness village in Namibia; and the magical Seychelles Islands. Entry forms will be available at information desks and entry boxes placed at selected entrances.
