Africa’s biggest conscious living expo in Cape Town

Think African wellness brands, celeb chef demos, tastings & more

Last updated: Tuesday, 19 May 2026

This is where the continent’s biggest wellness, food, and conscious-living trends land first. Visitors can explore celebrity chef masterclasses, botanical cocktail bars, wellness workshops, and 250+ exhibitors that shape how Africa eats, drinks and lives. The Good Life Show is happening from Friday, 29 May to Sunday, 31 May at the CTICC 2.

NEW: CLASSES WITH CELEB CHEFS

Part consumer expo, part trade platform, The Good Life Show brings together the people, products and trends shaping the future of sustainable living.

One of the biggest drawcards this year is the IMBO Theatre of Taste, a new culinary arena combining live demos with interactive masterclasses.

There’ll be 14 cooking sessions featuring names like Nigerian food sensation Chef Tolani Tayo-Osikoya (“Chef T”), MasterChef SA judge Peter Goffe-Wood, wild food innovator Roushanna Gray, and internationally-recognised Food Network star Jenny Morris.

The programme highlights indigenous African ingredients (like sorghum, baobab and amaranth), fine dining techniques, and health-led cooking focused on gut-friendly, plant-forward eating.

Other chefs also include farm-to-table pioneer Chris Erasmus. Image: The Good Life Show

FOOD TASTINGS & BEAUTY SAMPLES

Sampling is built into the entire experience with tastings across multiple exhibition zones. Think artisanal chocolates, probiotic drinks like kombucha and kefir, chickpea chips, mushroom biltong, and dairy-free cheeses.

Visitors can also sample clean beauty testers like rooibos-infused skincare and cold-pressed botanical oils. It’s designed as a “try before you buy” environment where products are not just displayed, but actively experienced.

MINDFUL DRINKING & BOTANICAL COCKTAILS

Another major feature this year is Wild & Stirred, the event’s mindful drinking experience, spotlighting the fast-growing world of low- and no-alcohol mixology.

Award-winning bartender Roxanne “Fox on the Rocks” Read, sustainability-focused mixologist Yorick Faict, and beverage innovator Charné van Heerden will lead cocktail demos built around fynbos, buchu, rooibos and botanical infusions.

Visitors can also forage from ingredient stations to build their own cocktails during interactive experiences.

LIFESTYLE, WELLNESS & NATURE-LED BEAUTY

Beyond the food experiences, the exhibitor lineup places a strong spotlight on sustainable lifestyle and apparel, African wellness innovation and ingredient-led beauty brands. More than 250 exhibitors will showcase wellness, beauty and conscious-living lifestyle products.

Look out for Cactus Circle Co., which creates prickly pear cactus oil skincare, and Haylo Botanicals. The brand heroes indigenous ingredients like mongongo, marula and kalahari melon seed oil. Women-led brand Nathi Skin produces body oils sourced from macadamia farms along the Zululand coastline.

The show will also feature producers from Madagascar, Malawi, Uganda, Egypt and Nigeria. You could move from Ugandan specialty coffee and Egyptian spice blends to Madagascan vanilla producers, baobab beauty oils and Malawi-made vegan schnitzels and tofu products all within the same exhibition floor.

WHY IT MATTERS FOR AFRICAN BRANDS

The event is a major meeting point for the global wellness and conscious living industry, with this year’s edition drawing buyers and distributors from the USA, Japan, Germany, the United Kingdom, Spain, Finland, Sweden, the United Arab Emirates, and more.

Brands can attend networking sessions and one-on-one meetings with buyers and distributors, secure retail stockists, test new products directly with consumers and build visibility with both local and international buyers.
