Ein traditionell südafrikanisches Pudding Rezept, dass dir das Leben versüßt
Bread and Butter, das ist ein Dessert aus Südafrika, am besten serviert mit heißem Sirup, Marmelade oder Honig und einer guten Portion Sahne!
Zutaten
½ Liter Milch
1 Teelöffel Margarine
½ Laib Weißbrot
1 Teelöffel Vanillepulver
2 Eigelb
2 Eier
3 Teelöffel Zucker
beliebig Sultaninen | Rosinen
2 Eiweiß steif geschlagen mit 3 Teelöffeln Zucker
Zubereitung
Milch und Margarine aufwärmen. ½ Laib Weißbrot in Stücke brechen. Vanillepulver dazugeben, Eigelb, Eier und Zucker. Die warme Milch über die Mixtur geben und gut verrühren, bis die Menge cremig ist. Sultaninen oder Rosinen je nach Belieben dazugeben. In eine eingefettete Form geben und bei 180 Grad für 45 Minuten backen. Ruhen lassen. Mit Marmelade bestreichen und dem geschlagenen Eiweiß. Im Ofen bräunen.
Warm servieren mit Sirup, Marmelade, Honig und/oder Sahne.
