Anna, Elsa and friends pirouette back into Cape Town with five magical days of entertainment during the July school holidays
Disney On Ice skates onto the GrandWest Grand Arena stage for another action-packed ice spectacular from Wednesday, 19, to Sunday, 23 July 2017. Tickets are now on sale from Computicket.com.
This year’s school holiday show is titled The Wonderful World of Disney on Ice and, as the name suggests, it celebrates the beloved storytelling franchise’s legacy of producing animated films and breathing life into some of cinema’s most recognisable characters. According to producer Kenneth Feld, the production aims to bring together Disney’s timeless classics and new stories, with a selection of old and modern favourites like Anna and Elsa from Frozen, the Little Mermaid crew and the Toy Story 3 team.
Enter the magical kingdom of Arendelle with Anna and Elsa, the gifted sisters from Disney’s smash hit Frozen. The beautiful and energetic Anna treks off into the wilderness with the witty snowman Olaf for company, in order to find her sister Elsa. Elsa has banished herself from the kingdom because her powers have plunged the land into eternal winter. Watch the stage transform into a wintery wonderland as the inspiring tale unfolds, providing the perfect backdrop for world-class skating.
From the wintery world of Frozen, audiences will head to the Pride Lands, where the cast from The Lion King will prowl onto the ice. State-of-the-art custom animatronics will bring Simba, Timon and Pumba to life, allowing their eyes and mouths to move as they spin and jump across the ice.
Your little one will love the upbeat soundtracks and adorable characters synonymous with Disney’s exciting journeys and happy endings. What’s more, the first-rate production’s team of international award-winning figure skaters, high-energy choreography and imaginative set changes will surely transport audiences into the animated worlds that childhood dreams are made of.
Hands down, this show is an experience that remains a not-to-be-missed calendar highlight.

Tickets are available via Computicket.com and Computicket outlets and cost between R150p/p and R400p/p. Ticket prices vary according to seating proximity to the ice rink and day of the show.
Disabled patrons can be accommodated. Please do note, each person attending needs to have a ticket (including children under the age of three).
