My Camp Rock Road Show in Cape Town

Celebrate the hugely anticipated original movie Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam, which hits TV screens this Autumn

Kids and families are invited to attend the free events where there will be a host of Camp Rock themed activities. Kids will be able to learn how to sing and dance like Demi Lovato and Jonas Brothers in a series of ‘rockshops’, where celebrity mentors will share the secrets of their success with singing, rap, hip hop and street dancing demonstrations.

Throughout the day there will be spot prize giveaways and fun interactive gaming zones. The events will culminate with some of South Africa’s hottest stars taking to the stage and performing their smash hits to the crowd.

In addition, budding stars aged 8 to 16 will have the opportunity to enter the My Camp Rock talent contest. There will be open auditions at both events from 10:00 to 12:45 and kids will have to perform a Camp Rock song in front of a panel of Disney Channel experts. Kids can learn the songs in advance by logging onto the dedicated Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam website at www.disneychannel.co.za.

The top three acts will be called back for the finals taking place on the same day, when a winner from Pretoria and Cape Town will be chosen by a team of celebrity judges. The two winners will undergo the ultimate show business experience.

Kids and families can tune into Disney Channel now to watch exclusive music videos from Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam and behind the scenes footage and interviews with the stars in Road to Camp Rock.

The original Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam soundtrack will be released 9th August featuring all of the songs from the film including Can’t Back Down, Fire and I Wouldn’t Change a Thing.
