Origin Coffee Roasters host a variety of workshops at their De Waterkant studio, and we have the scoop on the next one on the list. This workshop will be invading your senses on Sunday, 26 March 2017 from 10am to 11am.
At this Sunday Brews workshops, you’ll be taken through the various types of coffee (hence the title ‘Coffee Varietals’). There are three types of coffee beans - arabica, robusta and the blends, all of which you will be exposed to during the workshop. You’ll have the opportunity to taste the varieties and learn about the genetics, flavour, quality and botany of the coffee. Whether you love coffee, or you take it to the next level and label yourself a coffee aficionado, this is the perfect weekend event to unwind and relax with some delicious coffee.
Origin Coffee Roasters was establish in Cape Town with the decided aim of developing Africa as a hub of coffee, after all it was the first place that coffee was grown and roasted. They roast and serve only the highest quality beans. Artisanal roasting is very different to commercial roasting; there is no set algorithm. The taste of the coffee and the skills of the roaster will only be revealed once the glorious cup is brewed and enjoyed.
