Pole dancers and pole dance enthusiasts are in for a treat this month! On Thursday, 17 August 2017, Tracey Simmonds, from The Pole Studio, will be running two workshops that cater to every level of pole-dancing proficiency at Pole Dance Cape Town on Loop Street.
The first session (from 6pm to 7:15pm) will be for beginners, with the moves and technique being simple and easier to get started with. The second session (from 7:30pm to 9pm) is aimed at intermediate and advanced dancers; these are the students who go to pole dancing classes on a regular basis and have a reasonable grasp of the moves, and more importantly, how not to hurt themselves!
The Pole Studio is actually located in Pretoria, so Simmonds being in Cape Town is a real treat for anyone that wants to give pole dancing a go! Cape Town, as a city, is fitness mad and pole dancing is a really awesome way to get your blood pumping while having a blast. The stereotypes around pole dancing are long gone, and what’s left is an artform. Take it from us, this will be one of the toughest workouts you’ve had in awhile!
Tracey Simmonds is an internationally acclaimed pole dancer; she was even voted Miss Pole Dance UK in 2008. She competed for South Africa in the 2012 International Pole Dance Championships in Hong Kong. This lady really knows her stuff, and she knows how to get the most out of her students too.
The beginner class will focus on technique and strength training. Simmonds will take you through transitions (and how to get them to look as smooth as possible), conditioning tips and plenty of tricks. This workshop really is for someone that has never pole danced before, so give this new fitness trend a try! The intermediate/advanced class will focus on flexibility, strength and learning new tricks. Tracey Simmonds will take you through complete routines and she will give you guidance on how to get the best out of your pole dance style!
TICKETS TO THE 2017 POLE DANCE WORKSHOPS AT POLE DANCE CAPE TOWN ON LOOP STREET
The beginner class will cost R300p/p, and the intermediate/advance class will cost R350p/p. If you have any questions or queries, please contact Pole Dance Cape Town directly by emailing them at info@pdct.co.za. Your booking will only be confirmed once your payment for the workshop has been processed.
