If you week needs a little bit of a pick up, then you’ll be delighted to hear that Catharina’s Restaurant at Steenberg is hosting a Battle of the Bubblies on Tuesday, 28 March 2017 from 7pm. You’ll be able to sample all of the Steenberg bubbles (masterfully paired with gourmet food) in an attempt to find the audience favourite!
Each bubbly will be paired with a delicious meal, and we have the scoop on all that deliciousness!
ON THE MENU AT THE 2017 BATTLE OF THE BUBBLIES AT CATHARINA’S
Franschhoek salmon trout, orange and cardamom risotto, walnut and feta paired with the Silverthorn The Green Man MCC
Roast duck breast, citrus gnocchi, celeriac purée, celeriac, apple and white bean salad, rocket pesto jus paired with Steenberg 1682 Pinot Noir MCC
Rose petal and strawberry consommé, macerated strawberries, Szechuan pepper meringue, plum sorbet, Méthode Cap Classique and vanilla foam paired with the Silverthorn The Genie MCC
Hot chocolate guanaja spheres, espresso mousse, red velvet textures, Amarula, aerated caramelia paired with Steenberg 1682 Chardonnay MCC.

The price of the experience, which includes a four-course meal and all of the wines paired with the dinner, is R850p/p. Dinner begins at 7pm.
