The organizers of the Dirtopia Trail Centre, Stellenbosch, have put together a special night hike for Valentine’s Day on Tuesday the 14th of February.  It’s the ideal Valentine’s Day event, a scenic 20 minutes from Cape Town, the hike will well and truly make you feel as though you are on romantic holiday away.

Order a delicious picnic and enjoy it at the the top of Klapmutskop to view the sunset with a glass of bubbly. The hike is just under 10km (there and back) and there is an option of cutting that down to 5km if you catch a tractor ride.

Cost for the Dirtopia Valentine’s Day hike: R50p/p including glass of bubbly at the top and an optional shuttle ride back.

For the sake of romance do not arrive at the Trail Centre later than 18:00 as the sunset is at 19:40 – and the earlier you arrive the better - because it means more time to enjoy your picnic.

Booking is essential please see contact details below. Don’t forget to bring a torch, warm clothing, hiking shoes. Snacks (even picnics) and drinks are available at the Trail Centre, but you are welcome to bring your own.
