South Africa's film industry is on the rise and we have front row seats.
The Queen and Peasant Weekend Meet and Greets
Treat yourself to a tasting of fine wines, beers and spirits this weekend
The Queen and Peasant host FREE tastings every Friday and Saturday from 4:30pm until 8pm to showcase the finest local wines, beers and spirits that the Western Cape has to offer. More of a friend’s beautifully stocked cellar than a bottle store, The Queen and Peasant has turned what is often seen as a lavish experience reserved for only those who can afford it into an affair for all – queen and peasant alike.
The Queen and Peasant are the self-proclaimed “purveyors of fine wine and kick-ass booze” who pride themselves on sourcing the best themselves. Building lasting relationships with local breweries, vineyards, distilleries and patrons is something that The Queen and Peasant strives toward, and these intimate tastings are doing just that.
While they may be intimate they are the furthest thing from pretentious. We’re talking one table, beer-crates for chairs and an atmosphere so relaxed you’ll soon forget that you’re in a shop.
Get to know owner and former chef, Darren Allsopp, learn about the unique drinks available to you, have your eyes opened to the abundance of local goodness available at the most reasonable prices, and discover your taste in the process. On top of that, you will be guaranteed a wonderful evening of meeting fantastic people and enjoying free entertainment and free drinks.
Come one, come all, to Queen and Peasant.
ENTRY TO THE QUEEN AND PEASANT WEEKEND MEET AND GREETS
Entry to these weekly tastings are FREE, but bring some extra cash along as you will most likely leave with a bottle of your favourite booze!
