The Kiffness are Launching Their New Album at Cafe Roux

And we have all the details, plus five of their biggest hits!

Prepare yourself for another stellar Kiffness album, which is launching on Friday, 8 September 2017 at Cafe Roux on Shortmarket Street. Soul Safari, the new album, is expected to introduce the redesign of The Kiffness’s sound, making it same-same but different… if you know what I mean!

This time, David Scott is going it alone and we are so excited to hear some new and innovative sound creations. Get ready for a cracker of a night because this isn’t going to finish anytime before midnight! So far, we’ve heard Game of Love (in collab with Raiven Hunter featuring Gemma Griffiths), Love Go Cold, and Evergreen. Game of Love is an ethereal sounding electro song that features a groovy chorus and a lot of synth. The next song, Love Go Cold, featuring Josh Wantie, was premiered on KFM Breakfast about nine months ago and, quite frankly, it’s been stuck in my head ever since! They presented a more upbeat version on KFM, and you get have a cheeky listen right now!

David Scott is known for being a political satirist (and an awesome musician obviously), and for taking on Woolworths about their helluva skinny mannequins.Anyway, back to the music, this new album is expected to rocket to the top of the charts and cement The Kiffness as one of the best locally grown electro acts the country has ever known!

Cafe Roux on Shortmarket Street is a partner restaurant to Cafe Roux in Noordhoek, a South Peninsula hotspot. The newly opened City venue has hosted some awesome acts, both local and international, including The Lumineers, Majozi, Jack Parow, Richard Stirton and Dan Patlansky. Their menu features pizza, salad, meat and even authentically made pasta – their osso buco is sensational!
