Taste the Culture Lifestyle Festival

Things are going to get hot at Khayelitsha’s premier lifestyle fest

If you thought the time for heated events was over, then you were as wrong as a Golden Retriever in skinny jeans (no, don’t even try it). On Thursday, 27 April 2017 (Freedom Day), you’ll be able to attend the hottest party to hit Khayelitsha this year! Rands Cape Town is the perfect venue for the fifth edition of this premier lifestyle festival, where you will catch all of the most sizzling artists on one glorious stage.

The festival will see a sensational fusion of booze, food and music which will result in one big blowout that will keep you warm well into the winter months. The art of pairing wine with food is another aspect of this festival, and they will have plenty of experts in that art on hand to educate and delight. If wine isn’t really your vibe, then you’ll be ecstatic to know that there will also be demonstrations on how to best enjoy your cognac, vodka and whisky. The key here is to explore and experience new things; give everything on offer a good try and see where this awesome day takes you!

You’ll be able to meet the creators of some of Cape Town’s most loved locally crafted spirits; we don’t have word on who will be there, but isn’t a surprise half the fun? Either way you’ll know that the spirits on offer will be of the highest quality (and there will be plenty in quantity).

Let’s move on to the music experience and have a little look at the line-up:

LINE-UP AT THE 2017 TASTE THE CULTURE LIFESTYLE FESTIVAL AT RANDS CAPE TOWN

  • Phira
  • Mshayi
  • DJ Luyar
  • Live and Anzar
  • Aux Gawd
  • Sjava
  • And many more...

Taste the Culture has partnered with Trace Africa, one of the continent’s biggest TV stations, so prepare yourself for some insane sound installations. Trace Africa will both promote and record the event which means y’all need to dress to the nines and smile for the cameras!

As a little added bonus, there will also be the opportunity to explore the works of very talented sculptors, artists and crafters. There is nothing better than enjoying local everything at a festival in the beautiful Mother City while drinking in the sunshine. It sounds like the best way to spend Freedom Day in our opinion!
