Get ready to relive your days of first crushes and unrequited love because Grammy-nominated balladeer Tamia is heading to Cape Town for a one-night-only concert at GrandWest on Saturday, 26 April 2014.

Tamia first caught the world’s attention with her rendition of Mica Paris’s ‘You Put a Move on My Heart’ in 1994 and has since racked up five Gold-certified albums and developed a loyal fan base around the world. The Canadian songstress will be performing in Mzansi in support of her latest offering, Beautiful Surprise, which was released in 2012 and debuted at number six on the US Billboard Top Rnb/Hip Hop Albums chart, but local audiences can also expect to reminisce and sing along to beloved classics, like ‘So Into You’ ‘Stranger in My House’ and ‘Officially Missing You’.

Tamia Marilyn Hill (she is married to former professional basketball player Grant Hill) has an impressive five-octave vocal range and has collaborated with musical heavy weights, including power producer Quincy Jones, veteran divas Gladys Knight and Chaka Khan and rapper Fabolous. Cape Town crowds can expect nothing but a smashing show from this talented performer and the concert is bound to be a magical night of good music.

Tickets for Tamia’s concert in Cape Town are available online via Computicket.com and at Computicket outlets and cost R225p/p, R325p/p or R425p/p depending on seats or R150p/p for children between 6 and 16 years.

Doors open at 7pm and the show starts at 8pm.
