Grammy award-winning American singer-songwriter brings his brand of easy-listening and chilled out acoustic songs to the GrandWest Arena for the first time

‘Cape Town, I’m Yours!’ Avid fans of this American singer, whose surname quite appropriately rhymes with jazz, can look forward to hearing those words when Jason Mraz strums onto Cape Town’s shores for the first time ever, bringing his concert to the GrandWest Arena on Sunday, 1 March 2015.

Mraz will make his debut in the Mother City to promote his latest release, YES!, a project that features collaboration with female foursome Raining Jane and that many have referred to as his most unexpected and accomplished offering.   

Bursting on to the scene in 2002, Mraz released his debut album, Waiting For My Rocket To Come, with the hit single ‘The Remedy (Don’t Worry)’ in 2004 and has been soaring ever since.

And though he’s releasing four other albums over the last decade or so, the singer-songwriter has contemplated an early retirement. Known for his health-conscious lifestyle and raw vegan dietary choices, Mraz has invested in a five-acre farm and has already successfully sold over 34,000 pounds of avocado to a local American fast food chain.
