The creatures of the night will come out to play on the second spookiest night of the year, Friday, 13 October 2017, at Gandalf’s in Observatory.
Emo Nights South Africa brings you Emoween for the first time ever this October. So what’s Emoween you ask? It’s like Halloween but only earlier, with a lot more angst and a lot less raising the dead. Emo Night is a unique event based on the celebration of the music associated with the peak of the emo subculture in the mid-2000s, and any of the music that may have sprung up as a result of this subculture.
If you haven’t experienced Emo Night then you have a lot to look forward to. Expect to jam to a DJ set till the early hours of the morning. A group of DJs will curate playlists in a variety of styles, including punk, pop punk, emo, alternative rock and more.
The event is essentially a way for people with the same taste in music to come together and have a good time. Gandalf’s remains the epicenter of the underground, alternative and emo subculture in the Mother City, making it the perfect Emoween venue. Expect music that features nothing pop and everything rock ‘n’ roll and alternative.
Putting together an event for Halloween has been on the cards for more than a year now. Finally, Emo fans will be treated to an event that promises to be both spectacular and wonderfully frightening.
Are you ready for a night of ghouls and ghosts? Well, you better rock your spookiest costume and join the fun at Gandalf’s in Observatory. Bring your squad and get your fright on while dancing the night away.
