Friday, 5 May 2017 sees the annual charity ball held at the stunning Eensgezind wine farm located just ten kilometres outside of Durbanville. The Durbanville Children’s Home is one of the oldest children’s homes in South Africa and boasts a proud history of over 134 years! The Home is a non-profit organisation that provides vulnerable children exposed to emotional and physical abuse and neglect with much-needed care and support with the ultimate aim of restoring them to a healthy family relationship. The Home currently takes care of 144 children, 130 of which are cared for in the 12 houses in Durbanville and 14 of which are cared for at a satellite house in Kraaifontein.
The elaborate evening serves as a golden opportunity for you to make a difference to the lives of 144 children by sponsoring a table at this prestigious event. Why not impress your staff and treat them to a fabulous evening out for the benefit of the children or make it a family evening with a great cause? The cost of sponsoring one table is R8000 and accommodates ten people at the cost of R800 per person. You can sponsor a table or just buy tickets per person.
The festive evening sees guests, clients and friends of Durbanville Children’s Home treated to a mouthwatering three-course dinner, top-class entertainment and a performance by a live band. The MC for the evening is Hannes van Wyk and you can anticipate some belly-aching laughs from comedian Wicus van der Merwe as he auctions off unique items to the highest bidder. Dance music duo Christo & Cobus Snyman will be banging out tunes for you to wiggle away to and the children of The Home will also be presenting a few entertaining items to melt your hearts away.
