DJ nights at Villain’s Ale House
Kick start your weekend with DJ nights every Thursday, Friday and Saturday
On the corner of leafy Hout Street sits beer, grub and party hub Villain’s Ale House, with its reputation for serving the best local craft beer combined with the local flavour of some of Cape Town’s freshest DJ’s.
Inspired by English-style pubs, Villain’s Ale encourages patrons to have some beer and order a couple of dishes to share before letting your hair down to party the night away! Grab the bistros classic baby back ribs, free range chicken wings or if you’re not willing to share your meal, try the in-house favourite - the J-Dog. This foot long cheese griller features onion jam, bacon bits, ketchup, and mustard all tucked in a Kaiser roll and served with fries. Bring on the grub!
Upon entering the Hout Street haunt, patrons are welcomed by the Tarantino-styled interior. With tin press, dark wood, brass accents and high double vault ceilings, not to mention, tall beer tables, open windows and front counter tops interacting with the street, creating a welcoming experience at the open door. “The idea is that it’s an all-man’s bar,” says General Manager Matt Kerr. “Everyone is welcome… Even the villain.”
A host of local DJ’s will keep you on your toes until the wee hours of the morning. Think Weirdkid, DJ No Request, King Louis, Tariq Michael Blaine and DJ Thommo to kick start your weekend at the ye-olde Ale House. Drop in between 5pm and 6pm, as Villain’s Ale House offers Happy Hour specials every Tuesday to Saturday. Patrons can expect to pay half price on all beer (excluding And Union), Pandora’s Box red and white wine (per glass), and classic cocktails such as cosmos and margaritas.
