Die Antwoord concert in Stellenbosch
Zef rappers scheduled to pimp it at Stellenbosch Town Hall
On May 9 South Africa’s most outrageous act, Die Antwoord, is scheduled to play live at Stellenbosch Town Hall in honour of the once-off Bass vs. Zeffness event. The incendiary duo (Ninja and Yo-landi ) are known nearly as much for their balls-to-the-wall, entertaining live performances as they are for offending large groups of people and cajoling an international community into reciting crass lyrics in a foreign language that they have no knowledge of.
Needless to say, the Die Antwoord concert in Stellenbosch promises to be a “freak mode experience”; don’t anticipate any dull moments. Not to mention, the 9 May show will be the first time in two years that the artists will play in the quiet college town.
Hot of the release of their new album, Ten$ion, which features rap-rave hits “Hey Sexy”, “So What?” and “I Fink You Freeky”, South Africa’s most famous hip-hoppers will turn the ordinarily esteemed venue into a dark, smoke-infested arena prime for their kind of party.
Tickets cost R130 per person, and are available on Quicket.co.za.
