2016 Tiletoria Elgin Valley MTB Race

Pedal through one of the Cape’s stunning wine estates

The picturesque Paul Cluver Estate is host to one of the best MTB events Cape Town has to offer. The Tiletoria Elgin Valley MTB race is back with a new selection of routes that will take cyclists through the Oak Valley MTB trails. The MTB cycle will take place on Sunday, 28 August 2016 and will be followed by a prize-giving event where participants could win prize vouchers worth up to R5000.<

Contestants can choose from the 70km and 45km routes (which are seeding events for the 2016 Wines2Whales) in order to win the prize, or opt for the 30km or 15km routes for a recreational ride. The track will run through the Paul Cluver Wine Estate, over Groenlandberg and down some of the Oak Valley MTB trails to keep things interesting. Cyclists need a PPA seeding of MA-MC in order to compete in the 70 km route. Anyone with a lower rating who would like to compete can send their event results and a letter of motivation to info@pedalpower.org.za. Podium winners can win a grand prize of up to R3 500 for 70 km or R1 500 for 45 km.

Once you’ve crossed the finish line, stick around to grab a bite to eat at one of the food stalls or hang out and enjoy the music before catching the prize-giving ceremony hosted by KFM’s Deon Bing during which you stand a chance to win a R5000 voucher from Tiletoria and other great prizes from the lucky draw.
